The Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI) announces the creation of a new two-year senior fellowship or junior faculty/research associate opportunity at Duke, incorporating echo, MRI, CCT, nuclear, and other imaging modalities into clinical trials.
The ideal candidate will be fully trained in clinical echocardiography, have already had some clinical research experience, and have good English communication skills.
Details
- The selected fellow/research associate will work within the Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI) to plan, perform and write up the echo/imaging research components of both large international clinical trials and smaller early phase studies, under the mentorship of DCRI imaging faculty.
- The individual will participate in research at every stage of development (trial design, imaging protocols, imaging core lab services, consulting, image quality, and policy), and will have the opportunity to design and execute his/her own research project.
- Prior training, work visa, and USMLE status are required to do any clinical echo/imaging work at Duke Hospital as part of the program.
- The fellow would be a part of DCRI's internal fellowship program and a research fellow in the division of cardiology at Duke.
- The DCRI program is tailored to clinical research training, and is well structured with weekly meetings of our large group of research fellows. The fellow will be expected to participate in echo/imaging clinical and research conferences and other division educational activities as well.
