The DCRI leads the way in geriatric research. Drawing on Duke University's half-century of excellence in research in the scientific method, and social aspects of aging, the DCRI brings together an unmatched combination of scientific knowledge and clinical trials experience to create a team uniquely qualified to conduct cutting-edge investigations in geriatric medicine.

The Geriatric Research Division of the DCRI is led by Duke faculty with insight into the biology, diseases, and healthcare issues of aging, as well as the psychological and socioeconomic factors that affect older patients. Our knowledgeable faculty and staff have a thorough understanding of the challenges of recruiting and retaining elderly and potentially frail patients with special needs.

We offer services that include site selection with an emphasis on geriatric experience, logistical innovations in study design, and dedicated geriatric site monitors. From protocol development to site management to outcomes research, our team has the experience and the resources to ensure the successful completion of any project in this demanding field.
