DCRI Research Fellowship: Didactic Training

During the Research Fellowship at DCRI, fellows will be encouraged to work on a variety of research projects including phase I to phase IV prospective randomized clinical trials that are coordinated by the DCRI.

Additionally, there are numerous observational outcomes projects at DCRI including the management, coordination, and analysis of large scale databases which also could be unique opportunities for fellow participation.

Finally, independent projects such as sub-studies for on-going clinical trials or unique database projects are encouraged, and can be other opportunities for research experience. A listing of on-going trials and registry projects at DCRI will be updated on a regular basis on the Web site.

Additional Educational Opportunities

DCRI fellows attend a weekly DCRI Clinical Research Conference in which fellows, faculty and visiting researchers present work in progress. The topics are designed to address all areas of research interest. DCRI Research Fellows will be expected to make a presentation at a given research conference at least once during their two year research fellowship to discuss their on-going research project.

Additionally, there is a monthly DCRI Fellows lunch seminar lecture series where the fellows have the opportunity to present their research findings and learn practical details regarding career planning, grant submission, and other topics.
